Upon request MASTERWATT designs and manufactures pressure vessels and electrical heat exchangers in accordance with the requirements of the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
The PED involves design verification, material selection, manufacturing/fabrication practices and qualification, product testing, product marking and user instruction compilation.
In particular, since welding is a key process in the manufacturing of pressure equipment, MASTERWATT uses only Welders and Welding Procedures that have been qualified by well-known certification agencies.
As part of the PED certification, an approved third-part inspector verifies the stages of the heater construction from the design to the final tests to ensure the heater is in accordance with the European Directive.
